| As the season has now begun, we
would like to draw you attention to four extremely important
issues.
Membership.
When your child joins WRUFC they immediately becomes
a member of Warrington Sports Club (WSC). In previous
years, as guests of the Sports Club, WRUFC parents,
carers and their families have been able to enjoy the
facilities (bar!!) the club offers due to the arrangement
that the two clubs held. This season, WRUFC is a full
and equal member of the Sports Club and as we continue
using the facilities, all of us need to become members.
Family social membership of WSC is just £25.00
per annum, outstanding value for the standard of facilities
we enjoy. An application form and details on how to
join WSC can be collected from the club. The club will
perform regular audits on membership and none-members
will not be allowed to enter the club.
Playing Kit In The Club
No players are allowed in the bar in playing kit, regardless
of age or if the kit is considered "clean".
All coaches have been asked to reinforce this point
and to ensure compliance by both our players and opposition
players. No boots are to be left at the top of the stairs,
please encourage all players to use the changing facilities
provided. It is vital that we respect both the fabric
of the club and the wider membership and we need to
ensure that this rule is adhered to. The club does sell
tracksuits and polo shirts for post/after match use
and you can contact Becky Nicholls (01925 601570) for
further details on this.
After Match Food
This season all post match meals will be consumed in
the function room. Players will not be allowed to consume
post match food in any other area of the club, including
the bar. To assist in this process, the function room
bar will be open and staffed and the big screen will
be on showing any relevant sports events. Please will
parents/carers please ensure that their children are
aware of this rule and adhere to it.
Car Parking
As the club continues to grow one of the major challenges
that we face is car parking & traffic management,
this is particularly true on match days. This season
we will be trying to manage these issues via the following
initiatives:
Car park attendants on match days (Volunteers needed,
please see Dave Nicholls for details)
4x4s can park in the field across the road. (4x4s only
or you will get stuck!!)
Overspill will be at Walton Gardens car park and then
walk down and cut across the fields.
PLEASE do not park on Walton Lea Road outside the club
or on the surrounding roads. As well as being illegal
it is very dangerous and will result in an accident
involving one of the children, something I know all
of would never want to happen.
All of the initiatives above are designed to enhance
the enjoyment, safety and comfort of all of us. It is
self-policing however and I hope that all of you can
assist in ensuring that everybody adheres to this guidance.
If you have any questions or issues, please do not hesitate
to contact your coach or me
Here's to a great season and thank you for your support..
