Warrington went into the game with an instruction to up their game from last week playing Waterloo, Warrington played some of their best rugby of the season, dominating the scrums and lineouts, their excellent defence held out against some strong running by Preston, sniffing out any potential threat, As the game progressed Preston tried the kicking game only find the ball land in the safe hands of the fullback who with the support of his teammates was able to run the ball back utilising the moves used in practice, unfortunately on too many occasions the ball was dropped during the last pass, denying Warrington more points.
