U14 - Warrington against Wimslow
Despite a depleted squad due to players guesting with the under 15s in the Daily mail cup, Wilmslow put up a good fight, unfortunately their defence was not up to the task and it was not long before a crash ball from the forwards followed by a swift inside pass resulted in the first try under the posts unfortunately the conversion was missed. From the kick off it went from bad to worse for the home team as poor tackling and excellent support play resulted in more trys.
The game continued in the same vain for the rest of the half, with some excellent support and link play, unfortunately as the number of try’s increase the lads became overcome with white line fever and their normal composure went out the window, missing several opportunities to pass resulting in the home team making a tackle stopping a potential try from being scored.
The shortened second half started slightly different as the home team tried to put up a strong defence rucking over and securing good ball, which enabled them to mount several attacks which were quickly snuffed out, alowing Warrington to regain the ball to cross the line several more times.
There were some good points in today’s match the 2nd and 3rd phase play, supporting the runners and protecting the ball in the ruck. Working in pods and the line outs.

Christian: 2 tries
Joe: 2 tries
Joel: 2 tries
Dan: 1 try
Edward: 1 try
Matt: 1 try and 1 conversion
Nathan Evans: 1 try (on debut)
