U16 - Kersal 24 - Warrington 0

In a hard fast paced game good defensive play from Warrington prevented the final score being a lot greater.

Right from the kick off Kersal were a well organised side dominating the scrum and with 3 tries comming from some strong open play to take a 17 -0 lead at half time. In the second half Warrington started to fight back and as time progressed the Warrington forwards started to take control. Losing two key players to injury in the final fifteen minutes the Kersal line proved illusive and Warrington failed to get on the score board. Despite the final score this was a good performance against a very good well organised team.

Twelve months ago and against a team of this calibre the scoreline would have easily been 50+ and is reflective of a bunch of lads that have over the closed season developed into a stronger fitter better team.
