Winnington Park 2nd 19 - Warrington 2nd 35

Warrington’s second string recovered from a 12-7 half time deficit to record a superb 35-19 win in a hard-fought match at Winnington Park.

Warrington opened the scoring in the first half with a Dave Hartill try when he followed up his own kick-ahead. Presley converted Unfortunately, poor tackling allowed Park to take a deserved half time lead.

However, Warrington found their winning form in the second half first when Gloucester forced his way over and then when Craig sped over for two tries. Park responded with a penalty try but Hayes finished the game for Warrington with a typical Hayes try.
