Warrington 3rd XV 16 - Oswestry 2nd XV 23
Warrington’s third team simply ran out of steam in the second half after matching Oswestry in every department throughout the first period which ended at 10-10. Although they were never out of contention in the second half, especially through the non-stop work rate of human dynamo Bracegirdle, they could not find the way again to the Oswestry line. They had to be content with skipper Mullen’s first half converted try and three Douglas penalties against three Oswestry tries, one conversion and two penalties.
